Deaf Awareness

Every one must have deaf awareness to help better communication for both side. In order for this, we are providing training courser taught by deaf tutors. Besides that, the trainees are given an opportunity to practice their communication skills too.

Course Objectives:

1. Communication skills with the deaf people to be more effective
2. Learn about differences that exist among deaf people
3. Introduce to the Malaysia Sign Language
4. Discuss the barriers of deaf people face in different scenarios
5. Learn how to work with an interpreters
6. Learn how the Disability Discrimination Act affects deaf people
7. Introduced the aspects of deaf culture and community

Disability Awareness

Negative perceptions or incorrect assumptions against the disability people can be avoid by taking this course. Apart from that it also look into the potential implications of the Disability Discrimination Act.

Course Objectives -Trainees Will:

1. Be introduced to the social model of disability
2. Examine attitudes towards disabled people
3. Receive practical information on improving access to people with a range of disabilities
4. Learn how the Disability Discrimination Act affects them
5. Examine ways they could improve access to disabled people in their field of work
